Just Car Insurance Agency Pty (Just Car) is AAMI’s specialist car insurer, offering insurance services for younger drivers and unique cars. Their approach is designed to simplify the process of insuring a car and making a claim in the event of an accident.

Solnet Solutions Ltd (Solnet) have provided a range of services to Just Car’s parent companies AAMI and Suncorp and are a trusted partner when it comes to the adoption of new technologies. Solnet’s experience with mobile solutions development in particular made them a natural choice when Just Car needed to deliver an iPhone-based claims application as quickly as possible.

Apple’s iPhone is an excellent choice as a flagship platform for many mobile solutions. However it presents unique challenges from both a software development and design perspective. Just Car needed not only software development expertise but also high level advice on providing the best possible user experience.

The Problem

Just Car required an application that would allow its customers to gather details relating to an accident and to use that information to begin the insurance claim process.

The application had to be:

• Easy to use, requiring little or no user documentation
• Consistent with Just Car’s branding and market position
• Able to integrate with Just Car’s existing business processes via email

The Solution

Solnet was able to provide a complete end-to-end service including the initial design, implementation and delivery to Apple’s iTunes Applications Store. Our collaborative approach allowed each of the stakeholders to maintain close involvement with the project during the entire process and the delivery of a successful result in less than two months.

The agile development process used allowed us to share working examples of the application with Just Car as soon as features were implemented. The client was able to effectively supervise the direction of the project at a very fine-grained level without a need for technical knowledge of the target platform.

The result was a commercial-grade iPhone application, developed in record time with a high degree of client satisfaction.
