Are you planning your final year of tertiary study in the areas of Software Development, Software Engineering or Computer Science?
You can apply for a Solnet scholarship if you are studying for one of the following degrees:
Massey University Palmerston North campus, New Zealand
- Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering)
- Bachelor of Science (Computer Science, focusing on software engineering)
- Bachelor of Information Science (focus on software engineering)
Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
- Bachelor of Computing and Information Sciences (Software Development)
- Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science)
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Computer and Mobile Systems)
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
- Bachelor of Science (Computer Science, or Electronic and Computer Systems)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering, or Network Engineering)
The scholarship provides
- $5,000 per year, paid in two instalments
- paid project work in the university holidays before the final year of study
- a potential offer of employment, on graduation.
Most years, Solnet awards one scholarship, to a student whose achievements include:
- an aptitude for design and development work
- good academic results in the relevant subjects
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Applications normally close at the end of July, for a scholarship in the following year.
