Software Engineer (Intermediate)

Location: Wellington

To design, develop and integrate software solutions for Solnet's clients

Design, build and integrate software solutions for clients
Maintain a high level of technical competency and awareness of technologies, products, and best practices in software development and integration
Provide subject matter expertise in one or more of Solnet's products or services
Achieve and maintain accreditation / certification in relevant product and technology areas
Ensure that project milestones and commercial goals are achieved by both Solnet and the client
Ensure that Solnet's software development life cycle methodology is followed through the life of a project
Suggest improvements to Solnet Solutions' service offerings, methodology and techniques

Demonstrated competency with respect to all aspects of software development and the development process
Successful delivery of solutions that meet client's needs
Recognised competency in one or more of Solnet's products or services
Contribution to improvement of Solnet's capability to deliver profitable solutions
Good relationships with clients and colleagues

Ideally (but not limited to) a Computer Science Degree or equivalent

Broad and diversified experience in the development and integration of software solutions over a period of at least 3 years
Skills and experience in one or more of the following specialised areas: Java/JavaEE, .Net, Portals, Enterprise Integration, User Experience, Collaboration, Content Management
Must have completed at least two significant projects in a development role
Preferably experience in use and integration of products from one or more of our partners eg IBM, Adobe, JBoss
In depth understanding of the benefits and use of a software development life cycle.
